(Burlington, Mass.) — Expetec Technology Services, a full-service information technology (IT) organization in Burlington, has acquired the American Lung Association of Massachusetts as a full-time client.

"We'll be servicing the Association's server and twelve PCs," says Tom Kelley, owner of the Expetec office in Burlington since 2004. He adds, "Along with performing preventive maintenance, we'll help them increase productivity and protect their data."

Located in Waltham, Mass., the American Lung Association had previously employed Expetec to upgrade their computers and install a remote data backup system.

Expetec was founded in 1992 in Aberdeen, S.D., and began franchising in 1996. The organization was acquired in 2005 by Jet Company, a venture capital firm also in Aberdeen. Expetec currently has franchises in 27 states and Canada.
